The results of the Medical College research in Bikaner (India) and other centers conducted on quinoa milk have shown that it is a safe and effective product in improving long-term glycemic control and helping to reduce insulin requirements in people with type 1 diabetes. Camel milk contains about 52 ml of insulin per liter, which contributes to reducing the need for insulin in the patient and improving the quality of his life. According to the study, you should consume about 0.5 liters of milk a day for a long period of time to achieve visible results. Researchers suspect that the milk has an antidiabetic effect by probable immunomodulatory properties.

     Studies have also been conducted to determine the effectiveness of camel milk in controlling diabetic complications such as diabetic nephropathy. Significant improvement in the symptoms of microalbuminuria was obtained, and the significant hypoglycaemic effect of milk in combination with conventional treatment was also demonstrated. In these studies, significant changes in the lipid profile were observed, i.e. a decrease in triglycerides and HDL cholesterol in the blood of patients consuming camel milk, which may indicate its usefulness in prevention or potentially treating cardiovascular disease or atherosclerosis.
